Soft Play Glasgow is a family days out guide for Glasgow and the west of Scotland. It is published by Northbank Media. It exists because the question most parents actually have is not which venue is best, it is what to look for, what to ask and how to plan the day so it works.
What we publish
Parent guidance. Six guides covering how to match indoor play to a child's age, what hygiene checks tell you something real, what to ask before booking a birthday party, how to plan a wet day with a toddler, what makes a play session workable for a sensory sensitive child, and the unwritten rules of a busy frame. Alongside those, five area pages covering the character, transport and parking realities of the districts across the city and into Renfrewshire.
What we do not publish
- We do not name, rate, rank or review any individual play centre or family business
- We do not publish addresses, phone numbers, opening hours or prices for any named business
- We do not run a top ten, a best of list or a star rating
- We do not accept payment, gifts or hospitality in exchange for a mention
A previous version of this website carried venue content that was not verified. That content has been removed in full and it will not return. Nothing appears on this site now unless it is either general guidance we can stand behind or a fact that has been checked against a public record.
The directory, and why it is not live
We intend to publish a verified directory of venues. It is not live because verification takes longer than writing, and a directory that sends a family across the city to a business that closed last year is worse than no directory. Every submitted venue is checked against a public trading record and a working contact route, and every detail we publish about sessions or access comes from the operator in writing. Venues can register their interest now.
How this is funded
Listings will be free. There is no paid placement, no affiliate commission on tickets and no sponsored content. If a commercial model is introduced later it will be disclosed plainly on this page, and it will not affect what appears where.
What we rely on
Where this site refers to health guidance, safety standards, regulation or transport, it points to the source rather than paraphrasing it. Child health guidance comes from the NHS and, locally, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Play equipment safety guidance comes from RoSPA. Registered childcare and holiday services are inspected by the Care Inspectorate. Food hygiene, licensing, libraries and local family services come from Glasgow City Council and the neighbouring authorities. Transport information comes from Traveline Scotland.
