Soft Play Glasgow collects one thing from readers: an email address, and only if you type it into the form yourself. This page says what happens to it. It is written in plain terms rather than as a legal notice, and it describes what the site actually does.

What we hold

• The email address you submitted.
• The date you submitted it, and which page the form was on.
• Nothing else. We do not ask for your name, your telephone number, your postcode or anything about your children, and there is no field on the form that would let you give them. We never ask for a child's name, age or school.

What we use it for

To send you one launch note, when the checked directory of play centres is finished. That is what you signed up for and it is all the address is used for.

No business can buy a mention on this site, so there is nothing to promote to you and nothing you receive is on a venue's behalf. What we will and will not publish is set out in our editorial standards.

Who it is shared with

Nobody. Your address is not sold, rented, swapped, published or passed to a play centre, a party venue, a local business or an advertiser. It is not uploaded to any advertising platform and it is not used to build a lookalike or custom audience. The only parties that ever touch it are the hosting and email providers that store and deliver the list on our behalf, and they may not use it for anything of their own.

How long we keep it

For as long as you want to hear from us. When you stop the emails the record is deleted rather than flagged as unsubscribed, so there is nothing left to reactivate later. If you have never opened an email from us in two years we remove you without being asked.

How to have it removed

Every email we send carries a link to stop it. You can also write to us through the contact page and ask us to delete the address, or to tell you what we hold against it, and we will do it by hand. You do not have to give a reason and we will not ask for one.

Cookies and tracking

We set no advertising or tracking cookies and we run no advertising pixel. If that changes, this page changes with it before the change goes live.

Children

This site is written for parents and carers, not for children. The emails are not intended for anyone under 18, we do not knowingly keep an address belonging to a child, and we hold nothing at all about any child. If you believe we hold a child's address, write through the contact page and we will delete it.

Changes to this page

If what we do with an address changes, this page is updated and the date here changes with it. This version is dated 3 October 2026.
